National Ladies Shooting Day
A day to celebrate the ladies of the shooting community. We believe that shooting is not just a sport for men and with many female clubs ever increasing with numbers we are saying lets put down the tea, pick up the gun, release the clays and sip of some fine wine. Its Ladies Day!
Women who wear tweed
Tweed first became a fashionable cloth back in the 1820’s and 1830’s with the English Aristocracy. Traditionally, men enjoyed shooting Jackets, Trousers, Coats and Cloaks. Ladies enjoyed cloth for dresses.
Here at InTweed we have amazing garments designed specifically for the female shape, allowing full movement and smart silhouettes. Keep reading below to find out more about our products.
The Alston
Our action back Alston Jacket allows for greater freedom of movement in the arms, shoulders and back. It is based on a traditional shooting pattern but is modernised for everyday use in both town and the country.
This Classic Tweed Jacket features a navy lining, an action back and adjustable belt for a more fitted look. It also has a melton undercollar which buttons up when the weather draws in; as well as two lower slanted pockets and one ticket pocket for your valuables. The side vents allows for movement and a flattering fit to the female figure. To view click here.
Breeks and Plus 4s
The Birch Breeks are waterproof due to a drop liner which has been added ensuring water and wind is kept out but breathability is still possible.
With a wide variety of cloths to choose from and the option of back pockets, the breeks are made to suit your style. Our standard inside leg is 22 Inches. Click here to find out more.
